Inclucity Advisory Board

The first ever Inclucity event began in 2016; transitioning from a traditional, sit-down luncheon to an interactive, hands-on event. At Inclucity, Puget Sound organizations present technological and community advancements that their organization is making to support people with disabilities, to the public. This year's event will feature a new 'TED-style' program featuring expert speakers on technology, personal experience and lifestyle topics centered on inclusion. We hope that through this event, we are able to contribute towards the removal of barriers in our communities to create a truly inclusive Northwest.

Who Can Take Part?
Everyone! We're looking for community members, agency representatives, parents and advocates -- anyone who is passionate about inclusion in the community.

Advisory Board Function
Advisory Board members work closely with the PROVAIL development staff to set the theme for this event and strategize how to engage attendees into the movement. The committee will also contribute by connecting businesses and organization as vendors, planning details of the event and recruiting guests for the event.

Roles, Responsibilities and Commitments
As a member of the Inclucity Advisory Board we request that you:

  • Contribute to the conversation on how we can engage the broader community in creating an inclusive community
    • Design the program and speaker series
    • Engage vendors and additional organizations to highlight their work
  • Attend committee meetings once a month, via conference call or in-person
  • Participate in the day-of event; as a guest, a 'Champion of Inclusion' or as an event volunteer
