Seattle BrainWorks is an innovative program that seeks to support the growth and recovery of individuals living with traumatic brain injuries in our community, with the ultimate goal of helping them obtain and retain employment.
Contracted through Washington Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, Seattle BrainWorks is a community rehabilitation provider that facilitates a variety of lifestyle enrichment and structured learning opportunities to help members enter into or return to the working world successfully. Members have the opportunity to participate as frequently or infrequently as they wish in program’s learning opportunities. A monthly calendar provides enrichment activities designed to target the areas of learning that people recovering from brain injuries can benefit from, such as classes on organization, public speaking, stress management and obtaining a food handler's permit.
In addition to enrichment activities, members will have the opportunity to work with a PROVAIL Employment Consultant that will help them with the process of searching and securing employment: from writing a resume and preparing for a job interview, to navigating the workplace once hired.
