PROVAIL Johnny Johnson Memorial Dental Clinic

PROVAIL's Dental Clinic provides expert dental care services to people with severe disabilities. The Dental Clinic is staffed by caring, knowledgeable dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants, who understand the patients’ special needs. With many years of experience, the staff is committed to helping people, even those with the most severe disabilities, maintain proper oral health.

The Dental Clinic also serves as a teaching facility for dental and dental-hygiene students at the University of Washington and local community colleges.

The one-of-a-kind clinic currently provides approximately 600 professional dental services annually.

About Johnny Johnson:

Dr. Johnson has been a lifelong advocate for people with disabilities. He co-founded the clinic in 1962, and volunteered his services there for 43 years. This one-of-a-kind clinic is staffed with dental volunteers who have experience working with patients with disabilities who move suddenly or require special attention. Thanks in part to his tireless efforts and selfless dedication, the clinic provides about 400 services a year to people with disabilities. Dr. Johnson has received a number of awards including the Washington State Dental Association's Citizen of the Year Award in 1994, United Cerebral Palsy of King and Snohomish Counties' Volunteer of the Year Award in 1993, and PROVAIL's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005.
