Volunteer to Support an Artist

Artistry Incorporated is almost entirely run by volunteers. Volunteers support artists in the studio as well as aid in the program's operations. If art, poetry, and access to self-expression is your thing – your talents and passions are always welcome!

Direct Artist Support

We are always in need of direct workshop support for participants. Volunteers work one-on-one with participants to support their artistic choices.

No artistic or disability-related experience is necessary, but volunteers should have:

  1. A great sense of humor and adventure
  2. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box
  3. A desire to get messy and be creative!

Check out the workshop schedule to see what a right fit is for you. Click here to view workshop schedule.

You can volunteer for one or all of the currently scheduled classes by contacting art@provail.org

Art Intern/ Administrative Volunteer

As this program is almost entirely run by volunteers, the Art Interns are the backbone of the program.

Artwork Management Intern

The Artistry Incorporated Artwork Management Intern attends visual art workshops, manages and curates work made in said workshops, and communicates with artists regarding the use or sale of their work. Rotating artwork collections are displayed monthly in different accessible public venues around the local area, as arranged by the Art Management Intern. This intern is responsible for approaching different venues, collaborating with partner organizations, and promoting all shows through social media and local press outlets.

The Artwork Management Intern will also serve as a go between for buyers of Artistry Incorporated artists' work and the artists themselves. This takes place primarily as part of the winter and summer Gallery Show Fundraising Events.

Hours are flexible with remote work options available. Minimum six month commitment to ensure for a smooth transition process and the training of future interns. Valid Driver's License required. Priority given to applicants with personal means of transportation.

Class Management Intern

TheArtistry Incorporated Class Management Intern secures space and recruits participants for our bi-weekly visual art workshops, monthly poetry workshops, and monthly dance workshops. This involves partnering with other arts, disability, and volunteer organizations, as well as managing online recruitment materials. We encourage creative design and engaging use of social media. In addition to increasing participation, the Class Management Intern manages our existing base of artists and volunteers. Along with arranging participant paperwork, this intern fills each class with artists from a master waiting list on a rotating basis, and communicates with interested participants. This intern also coordinates sufficient volunteers for each workshop and solicits feedback/reflection from participants to feature on our blog.
